Who we are

What we collect
Readers don't need an account, and we don't ask you for personal information to read anything on this site.
If you use our contact, interview pitch or news tip form, we receive what you type: your name, email address, a message, and optionally your phone number and organisation.
Like any website, our servers see your IP address when you visit. We use it to limit abuse (for example, how many times a form can be submitted in a minute) and to keep the site secure. We don't use it to build a profile of you.
Why we use it
- To read and reply to your message, and to decide whether to cover your tip or invite you for an interview.
- To protect the site from spam and attacks.
We don't sell your information and we don't use it for advertising.
Who handles it for us
- Email delivery: messages from the forms are sent to our newsroom inbox through an email service provider (Resend). We don't keep form messages in our website database.
- Hosting and bot protection: the site runs on Cloudflare, which also provides the Turnstile check that tells people from bots on our forms.
- Videos: our interviews are hosted on YouTube. A video loads only after you press play, and uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Once it loads, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that video.
Cookies and tracking
Readers get no cookies from us. A sign-in cookie is set only for our own staff when they log in to the newsroom admin. We don't run advertising or analytics trackers at the time of writing. If that changes, we will update this page first.
How long we keep it
We keep a message for as long as we need it to respond and for our records, and then delete it. Ask us earlier and we will delete it sooner unless we are legally required to keep it.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, and complain if you think we have handled it wrongly. Email propertytricitylive@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy”. We reply within a reasonable time and no later than the law requires.
Children
This site is for adults interested in property news. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information, we will change this page and its date above.
